What was done
Andru Charger is a fun and highly functional smartphone and personal tech charger. Created by Power by Gen (Salom America is the company behind Power by Gen) and based out of Chicago, the company was looking for widespread national press coverage tied into various holidays throughout the calendar year. A highly targeted Press campaign was created that focused on the long-lead national publications. In addition, the shorter-lead online and regional media outlets were contacted for review and editorial consideration of the product.
Because the product has many great personal tech consumer benefits such as energy saving, portability, reliability, and its sheer cuteness the media was rather receptive to the product and it was featured within the heavy hitters of the media arena. During some targeted holidays throughout the calendar year Andru Charger was featured in Family Circle Magazine, Woman’s World Magazine, Teen VOGUE, Inc.com, REAL SIMPLE, Prevention.com, ZDNet.com, and All You Magazine. In addition, the press campaign was able to secure and bring to fruition a multitude of regional lifestyle and tech press coverage.
The end result
Due to heavy coverage in both national publications and online in addition to regional and tech-focused media, Andru Charger has responded with over-the-top enthusiasm to the entire Public Relations/Press campaign. Throughout the entire campaign that spanned nearly 18 months they have seen increased product and brand awareness in addition to sales increases when various media coverage hit.
